TGP worked with the design team to renovate the existing public market to create a vibrant pedestrian shopping and dining experience.

New paving, planters, site lighting and playful site furnishings were arranged to create comfortable seating areas for dining and relaxing. Sustainable site development features are prominent in the plaza spaces. Educational sculptural elements from the Exploratorium and from the existing buildings are integrated into the design to create a unique gathering space for the community. An emphasis was placed on the evolution and history of the site as expressed in the use of recycled materials and etchings in the new pavement.
