The 200,000 sf LKS Center, located in a prominent location on the UC Berkeley Campus provides a much needed upgrade to important campus open spaces including a new walkway that allows an accessible route for the Campus entry and a grand staircase that provides direct access to the campus. Landscape and entry courts were constructed over existing laboratory space and a large sculpture was used as a icon on the campus side of the building.
A new staircase with a spectacular view of the San Francisco Bay connects the upper courtyards and the main campus entry.
